HIV/AIDS and Native Hawaiians/Pacific Islanders

In 2023, non-Hispanic Native Hawaiians/Pacific Islanders were 39% less frequently diagnosed with HIV infection than people ages 13 and older in the total U.S. population.1
From 2020 - 2022, non-Hispanic Native Hawaiians/Pacific Islanders account for less than 1% of classifications of persons with Stage 3 (AIDS).2
From 2019 – 2023, there was only one Native Hawaiians/Pacific Islander child aged <13 years diagnosed with HIV.3
