Dr. Thorpe has expertise in health disparities in middle to late life, minority health, men’s health, and population-level health data for racial and ethnic minorities. He has been a member of various committees and task forces, including the Technical Expert Panel for the evaluation of the Community-Based Care Transitions Program at the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, and the American Psychological Association Working Group on Health Disparities for Boys and Men. Dr. Thorpe serves as an associate editor, guest editor, and reviewer of academic journals, and has published extensively. Dr. Thorpe is a Fellow in the Gerontological Society of America.
