Gregory Maddox, MD

Dr. Maddox is an enrolled member of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma. In his role Chief Medical Officer he focuses on healthcare integration between behavioral health services and medical services with an emphasis on incorporating culturally appropriate care for urban American Indians and Alaska Natives. As a practicing physician, Dr. Maddox has a particular interest in addiction medicine, chronic disease prevention and sports medicine. Additionally, he focuses on research impacting the health needs of urban American Indians and Alaska Natives. Dr. Maddox is a faculty member for the Swedish Family Medicine Residency program where he precepts and advises resident physicians at the Seattle Indian Health Board. He holds a clinical faculty appointment at the University of Washington School of Medicine where he instructs medical students through a two year primary care practicum. Dr. Maddox has guest lectured on Urban Indian Health Organizations and serves as a mentor at the Indian Health Pathway at the University of Washington.
