Native Coalition Addresses HIV/AIDS in Federal Inter-Agency Meeting

On May 4, 2010, the Office of Minority Health Resource Center convened and facilitated an unprecedented meeting with American Indian/Alaska Native/Native Hawaiian on HIV and Native people.

The meeting focused solely on Native HIV/AIDS issues with representatives of a National Coalition of 30 American Indian, Alaskan Native and Native Hawaiian organizations. The coalition includes people living with HIV, experts on HIV/AIDS, community-based service providers, and leaders from across the Native community’s grassroots and service organizations.
