Limiting a Search:

Select Format, and select either:

Document - to find all types of reports, books, audiovisuals, factsheets, etc.
Articles - to find journal articles
Organization - to find national or community organizations
Audiovisual - to find videotapes, CD-ROMs, DVDs, etc.
Fact Sheet - to find brief statistical or factual summaries on a topic

Select Advanced Search, to search more categories such as language, date, journal title.

Select Organization Search, to search organizations by city, state, zip code, and more.

Select Audience, to limit search by level of publication, enter either:

• General Public
• Professionals
• Patients
• Students

Special Search Tips, to find:

Easy-to-read, consumer health booklets, enter keywords, enter in Subject:
LOW LITERACY MATERIALS / CONSUMER INFORMATION

Foreign language consumer materials, enter keywords, enter in Language:
CHINESE / SPANISH / CREOLE, etc.

Organizations providing foreign language services, enter keywords, select Format - Organization, and enter in Subject:
CHINESE / SPANISH / CREOLE, etc.

Scholarships or funding resources, enter keywords, and select Subject:

Displaying Records After a Search

A successful search finds one or more records, which are displayed in your Web browser as a report. Use the browser controls as you normally would, to browse, print, and view. You can also:

• Display full catalog record. Click below each record to display more detail.
• Display additional pages. If available, click the Next and Previous navigation links on the report page.
• Add item to the InfoCart. Once you have selected a list of documents, go to your InfoCart to print or email your list.
