HIV/AIDS and Asian Americans

  • Asian Americans have slightly lower AIDS rates than their white counterparts and they are less likely to die of HIV/AIDS.
  • Cases have generally declined over the past five years for Asian Americans.
  • National surveillance data for HIV infection in Asian subgroups is limited.
