This site provides media on environmental disparities research by the Environmental Protection Agency. Children are likely to be more vulnerable than adults to the effects of environmental contaminants. To better understand the effects of children’s exposures, and to explore ways to reduce children’s risks from environmental toxicants, the EPA, through the Science to Achieve Results (STAR) grants program, the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) are supporting a network of Centers for Children’s Environmental Health and Disease Prevention Research.

This link provides a document on the program for the Housing Opportunities for Persons With AIDS (HOPWA). The HOPWA program is the only Federal program targeted to address the urgent housing needs of low-income Americans living with HIV/AIDS, who are facing multiple health challenges, including substance abuse and mental health issues, as well as issues of discrimination and barriers due to stigma and misinformation about HIV/AIDS.

This link provides information about the National Center on Minority Health and Health Disparities (NCMHD) promotes minority health and leads, coordinates, supports, and assesses the NIH effort to reduce and ultimately eliminate health disparities.
